Daniel's Ocean Views
Daniel's Ocean Views
compiled by Joyce Cassen, Norman, and Sara Levey
Daniel Levey was an outdoors enthusiast who loved the ocean. Tragically, he fell to an untimely death on July 25, 2003, while on the Konahuanui Trail on the island of O‘ahu. His nineteen years, while short in span, were filled with energy and curiosity. Daniel was fascinated by both the insights on life that could be expressed with words, and the ocean and shoreline sights that words cannot express.
Daniel’s Ocean Views, the follow-up volume to his first book Daniel’s Views, is the celebration of a short life well spent on friendships, learning, exploring, seeking new perspectives, and gaining spirituality.
Compiled by his mother, Joyce Cassen, father, Norman, and sister Sara, this volume contains Daniel’s favorite quotations, complemented with spectacular photographs of the ocean from the mountainous heights that Daniel loved to hike.
Soak in the view of O‘ahu’s sparkling ocean waters from atop scenic climbs such as Koko Crater, Kamehame Ridge, Pu‘u Manamana Ridge and more where blue vistas melt into verdant coastlines. Take a stroll with Daniel....
