The voices of war and the voices of nonviolence are beautifully interwoven in this book. I am honored to be one of about 80 contributors.

I see that I've used a metaphor about weaving again. One of my poems, "Weaving Peace" was chosen out of this book by composer Diane Benjamin as the text for the finale of her peace chorale, commissioned by the Denver Women's Chorus. Other texts were contributed by Lucille Clifton and Carolyn Kizer.
