This little book covers the subject of Hawaii's history with broad brush strokes in an easily readable style. From the geological formation of the islands through the challenges of the 21st century, readers can discover the major events and people that have shaped the Hawaii we live in and love today. The "Further Reading" page lists many other books to further broaden the reader's knowledge. Great effort was made to update Hawaiian words to the current spelling and punctuation. New images were added, including the monarchs of the Hawaiian kingdom and also modern figures of importance. Comments are welcome.
