Sands of Lanikai
Be taken on an unforgettable journey of suspense, adventure, mystery and romance in a coming-of-age story about the small town of Kailua, O'ahu in November/December 1941. Sands of Lanikai takes us back to the days just before December 7 and imagines a spy entering the waters of Kailua Bay. Will the spy be discovered? What is his mission? What impact will his presence have on the opening days of World War II?
As tensions mount towards the inevitability of war, suspicions escalate about who can be trusted and who can't. As the mystery unravels and the suspense and romance build, the adventure is only beginning for Paul Sands. What he discovers and what you discover may surprise you.

I picked up an autographed copy from Barnes & Noble at Ala Moana Center. Beautiful cover and appropriate this time of year. Looking forward to reading it over the Thanksgiving holiday!

There's a huge framed print (I assume not the original) of the cover displayed at BookEnds in Kailua. Or at least it was there, with copies of the book, last time I stopped in. Quite eyecatching.

Must admit to a tear in the eye when I wrapped up the beautiful
story. Reasons: Didn't want it to end, Heartwarming,
chicken-skin, AND . . . I'm going to miss Healani. I thoroughly loved the passion between Paul Sands and Healani.
The 'hooks' at the end of each chapter keep the reader begging for more. It's a MUST READ!
