A young koa tree finds new friends, new places, and new challenges as he searches for home. This is the first book in the Kupukupu Series of contemporary stories written by a new generation of storytellers. The series is produced in collaboration with Hale Kuamo‘o. Basic Hawaiian words and phrases are included in the bilingual version of ‘O Kaina ke Kumu Koa. Hawaiian language lessons and a glossary are also included at the back of this book to provide additional learning opportunities.
